Review SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless

Review SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless – SteelSeries is a Denmark based peripherals company founded in 2002. The Aerox-9 Wireless is best described as an MMO fied Aerox-5 Wireless.

The regular side-button layout of the Aerox-5 Wireless has been replaced by a 12button grid, as is customary for MMO-mice. Furthermore, the scroll wheel may be tilted, which gives access to three additional button functions along with the ability to scroll-horizontally.

Other than that, not much is different: The Aerox-9 Wireless is capable of 2.4GHz and Bluetooth5.0 and features up to 180-hours of battery life according to SteelSeries. The TrueMove Air sensor capable of 18,000CPI is used, which is a modified PixArt PAW-3335.

TTC Golden Micro switches rated for 85 million clicks are used for the main buttons, accompanied by pure PTFE feet. The charging cable is USB TypeC and particularly flexible, and at 88g, the Aerox 9Wireless is among the lightest of the MMO wireless mice.

Lastly, both the rich RGB lighting and 18buttons in total can be configured within SteelSeries GG.
